Top 5 foreign investments in Romania worth over €1.2 bln

French group Renault is leader in terms of foreign investments in Romania, followed by Austrian Egger wood producer, Japanese Clasonic Kansei car parts maker and French Saint Gobain glass maker.

Renault’s total investments amounted to €676 million, while those of Egger rose to €210 mln. Clasonic Kansei invested €120 mln and Saint Gobain €200 mln. US Delphy Diesel car parts supplier ranks fifth, at €100 mln in investments, and has 1,000 employees in Romania.

Finnish Nokia mobile phone producer has invested €60 mln in its factory in Cluj County.

These cumulated investments exceed €1.2 billion.
