Tourism Minister Elena Udrea, said that the proposals forwarded by the members of the Consultative Council of Tourism (CCT) will be included in the future law of tourism.
According to the Secretary General of the Federation of Employers Associations in the industry, Dragos Raducanu, the ministry of tourism is expecting proposals from organizations and the business environment by the beginning of August, so that the first draft law could be sketched in CCT’s next meeting, scheduled for 20 August.
During the CCT meeting, President Traian Basescu said he was dissatisfied with the lack of skilled personnel in this sector, and with the fact that there is no fair balance between quality and price. Moreover, the president said that infrastructure, although it does not meet certain standards, is not the main reason for which Romania has a poorly developed tourism.
