Transavia plans to export chicken to Asian and Arab countries

Transavia intends to double its production capacity this year, to some 46,000 tons, and targets a market share of some 20 percent. Also, the company wants to become poultry product market leader.

Main players on this market are Agricola Bacau, Agrisol International and Avicola Calarasi.

Transavia increased its market share last year, after it took over Avicola Bacau, one of the main poultry and egg processors in . Transavia posted turnover worth €50 million in 2007 and is estimating a doubling of this result in 2008.
