Transelectrica to launch operations in communications

The company is interested in providing communication services for both the Romanian and external markets. 

Furthermore, the company plans to list a 10 percent share package on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) early next year. Transelectrica listed 10 percent of its stock two years ago, and Transelectrica representatives said the package could be increased by up to 22 percent. However, the state will remain majority shareholder. 

Transelectrica shares rose 1.1 percent on BVB last Friday. The company’s market capitalization reached €549.8 million.
