Food retailers, hypermarkets, supermarkets, discounters, and players on the do-it-yourself (DIY) market will be some of the largest employers in 2009, considering layoffs in industry, caused by a decline in production.
 
The company will open the Trident Shopping Center in Sibiu at the end of March, and an additional three stores by year-end. Total investments in this year’s expansion program are estimated at €18 million, of which €15 mln in the Sibiu center. Financing comes from own funds and loans granted by MKB Romexterra Bank.
 
The retailer posted €60 mln in net sales in 2008, and expects to exceed the €100 mln threshold in 2009.
