In addition to finding a new job, Romanians also plan to better balance their professional and personal lives, and to be more productive, the poll shows.
"Most of those who plan to change their job do it for money. These are mostly people working in fields where salaries have increased very little lately, such as retail and call centers," according to the General Manager of the Pluri Consultants human resource company, Madalina Popescu. She added that employees currently have opportunities to find better jobs.
“Romanians have woken up and are no longer willing to spend so much time at the office, or working in just any circumstances; they want to have as much free time as possible and not work overtime."
Personnel turnover is likely to remain high in 2008, especially in retail, banking services, insurance, telecom and business advisory.
