The three segments that Tymbark Maspex is operating on in Romania - soft drinks, coffee and pasta - posted total 12 percent growth compared to the first quarter of 2008.

In the soft drinks field, which makes up 52 percent of the company’s turnover, the company is to expand its portfolio or even enter a new segment - fruit-flavored water.

The company increased prices for instant-coffee products and juices by some 3 percent, due to exchange rate variations and higher prices of raw materials, most of which are imported.

The company has been operating on the local market since 1996. Its main competitors are Pepsi Americas, European Drinks, Coca-Cola HBC, Romaqua, and Parmalat.
