Higher growth, at 5.7 percent, is foreseen for the third quarter, while Q4 is expected to have only 5.5 percent in growth. Thus, the overall advance of the economy is likely to be of 5.5 percent this year.
This forecast is similar to a report published earlier this year by the United Nations, which indicated that Romania’s economy is likely to grow 5.5 percent.
These figures are below the official prognosis of 6.5 percent advance in 2008.
