“When the loan contract is signed, the client is given an unemployment insurance policy. In case he or she loses his or her job or can no longer work, the insurance policy has a coverage period of 18 months,” the bank division’s General Manager, Gauthier van Weddingen, said.
Bank officials said that, in the long-run, lending in Romania will be above the average in European countries. In their attempt to attract clients, UniCredit Tiriac launched lending products that allow clients to take out loans based only on an income certificate.
“Secured loans will be granted by UniCredit Tiriac Bank, while the unsecured ones will be granted by UniCredit Consumer Financing. Clients will obtain loans much faster, without presenting the individual tax form or the workbook. The minimum accepted income is RON 400 [some €95],” van Weddingen added.
