The growth is mainly due to last year’s real estate boom, which led to an increase in valuation demand. Some 70 percent of the total valuation business was made up of real estate valuation, the study shows. A further 15 percent came from company valuation, 9 percent from non-real estate assets, and the remaining 6 percent was financial assets valuation.
“The evolution of the Romanian business environment leads us to believe that, in 2008 the valuation market will register a slight increase on the company valuation segment, especially for mergers, acquisitions, and initial public offers,” said ANEVAR President Adrian Vascu.
The study was based on data received from 85 percent of ANEVAR member companies. The association has 6,000 full members and a further 237 associated legal entities.
