Vodafone’s total income amounted to €1.184 billion, 11 percent higher year-on-year, while income from services rose 10.4 percent, up to €1.122 bln. The average revenue per user (ARPU) amounted to €11.
“Following the success of mobile data promotions launched last year and an increase in mobile data clients, income from this segment rose 84.4 percent year-on-year. In the 2008-2009 financial year, we will keep developing our products and services portfolio to provide our clients with a variety of options,” Vodafone Romania’s CEO, Liliana Solomon, said.
The company posted €558 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), 11.2 percent higher year-on-year.
Vodafone Romania is the second-largest mobile operator locally, with Orange, Cosmote and Zapp as its main competitors.
