Vodafone Romania unveils 21.4% higher operating profit as the number of clients rose

The company’s total revenues stood at 596.75 million euros, up 24 percent against the same period last year. Revenues from services stood at 570.23 million euros.

Vodafone Romania counted in the analyzed period some 8.58 million clients, up almost 20 percent against the same period last year. Clients with subscription services held a 34.1 percent of the company’s total clients portfolio.The rest are using pre-paid services.

The better-than-expected results recorded in Romania are the main growth engine of the Vodafone group in the region. Vodafone Romania was established in 2005 after local mobile phone operator Connex was acquired.
