“The number of users who have access to mobile internet services has tripled since the beginning of this year, and we believe this segment will continue to evolve. The need for broadband will be supported by this new technology. Because most business clients who already have a server are using BlackBerry, new offers will allow us to provide a personal email account. We are talking about individual users and small businesses,” said Liliana Solomon, Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Romania.
Solomon estimated that Romanian internet users will reach 9 million by the end of 2008, while the number of connections will climb to 7 million, and the ratio of mobile connections will exceed landlines.
The four offers launched by Vodafone will cost €20-€80, and include up to 400 minutes and 500 MB of data traffic.
