Chocolate producer Wawel, one of the top players in the field worldwide, will enter the Romanian market with premium products. Wawel products are to be sold in some 200 stores in Bucharest and 10 counties, according to the company's Country Manager, Narcis Costache. "For 2009, we plan to be present in most major retail and cash&carry networks in towns and cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants," he added.
Wawel is currently operating in Europe, Asia, Middle East and North America. Last year, the company posted $100 million in turnover and foresees some $110 million worth of business in 2008. (A.G.)
