Western Bucharest is the most developed logistical area

Mihai Falcuta, Advisor of the DTZ Echinox Industrial Department, says Western Bucharest is important due to its location along the IV Pan European corridor, its opening to the rest of the country, as well as its good infrastructure.

Company representatives indicated that rents drop to €3.7-4.3/sqm for areas exceeding 10,000 sqm.

The General Manager of the Industrial Department of DTZ Echinox, Rodica Tarcavu, says logistical companies are interested in storage space covering 5,000–25,000 sqm, with modern equipment, while distribution companies prefer storage up to 2,000-15,000 sqm.

According to DTZ Echinox analysts, the total stock of storage spaces was 530,000 sqm by the end of 2007, and will reach 870,000 sqm by the end of this year.

Among the largest logistical and industrial park projects are Cefin Logistics Park, ProLogis Park Bucharest A1, Bucharest West and A1 Industrial Park. (NewsIn)
