What IT players resort to in their hunt for clients

These measures come in response to the dramatic drop in consumption, due to retail and corporate clients, who are now much more reluctant to acquire new products. “Until now, the market grew uncontrollably, supported by high demand and easy access to money. In the coming period, we should see an orientation towards the clients and their business, and anyone with something to sell will have to learn the client’s business and come up with solutions to optimize this business,” the Sales Manager Acer Romania, Bogdan Iftemie, told Business Standard.

However, measures to boost sales are very rare at present, as companies do not have an accurate strategy and react differently and emotionally to changes on the market.

“I believe that most local companies in Romania, and even multinationals, are doing too little not just in terms of attracting new clients, but also to retain the ones they have. Unfortunately, due to the crisis, many local companies chose to cut costs precisely in the customer relation area, so that the activity of retaining existing clients and attracting new ones has declined. Personally, I believe this has not just happened in a few companies, but has been a mass phenomenon in Romania,” Marius Ghenea, President of PcFun.ro, told Business Standard.
