Winston brand leads JTI to 29.1% share of cigarette market

British American Tobacco (BAT), local market leader, registered a 0.2 percent increase in market share this February, after a slight decline to 40.4 percent in January, from its 41.1 percent in December.

The third-largest producer, Philip Morris, had a 27.3 percent share in February, 0.3 percent lower month-on-month.

Best seller cigarettes in Romania are Kent, made by BAT, with 19.3 percent of the market, Marlboro, made by Philip Morris, with a 12.1 percent share, and L&M, also made by Philip Morris, with 9.9 percent in market share.
