Wizrom Software recruiting IT staff from the Republic of Moldova
The company proposes to employ some 20 specialists from the Republic of Moldova by the end of the year. Wizrom also developed such programs in Romania, but “the level of competence here is very low, much lower than it was four to five years ago,” said Adrian Bodomoiu, the company’s Managing Director. He added that wages in this segment have doubled in the past two years, closing in on those abroad, and this leads Bodomoiu to expect the situation to stabilize.

“IT specialists are motivated income, especially the younger ones, who should be motivated by development. Those with experience, who realize that they have an opportunity to learn more, appreciate the opportunity for development,” added Wizrom’s Managing Director.

The company has implemented a system of monitoring employee performance. Employees are told about the benchmarks used to evaluate performance, and they are rewarded through a bonus system as they reach their objectives. “This is a win-win situation, and the employee is motivated to earn more, while we benefit from increased performance. If their fixed income is somewhere around the industry average, this variable component allows employees to make even more than they would working for companies offering the highest salaries on the market,” added Bodomoiu.

Wizrom is expecting a 30 percent increase in turnover in 2008, to $9.8 million (€6.7 mln), due to a strategy to focus on the segment of large companies. The company reported a rise in turnover in 2007 of some 36 percent, to $7.5 mln (€5.1 mln), with value of contracts amounting to $10 mln (€6.8 mln). Its main competitors are Siveco, Oracle and SAP.
