Work market pressures leads to higher wages and more overtime

The wage fund increase is due to a 20 percent increase in employees and an advance in incomes of 25 percent, shows the study. “The work market pressures and a diminished employee base have led employers to demand more from employees and overtime has increased significantly. The flipside is that such pressures have led to a rise in sick leave hours, and this unpleasant situation also affects the company since other employees must take on the tasks of their co-workers,” said PayLogic CEO, Cristian Udrescu.

Overtime rose by an average 25 percent, and even double in the case of some companies, according to the study. Sick leave increased by 58 percent, while the employee fluctuation has reached 51 percent.
