XL World targets €10 mln worth of business in Romania
“Our plan for 2008 is to consolidate local operations, following an average annual growth of 200 percent, in the past three years,” XL World Romania’s Managing Partner, Roberto Montandon, told Business Standard.

The company is to increase work capacities this year, by more than doubling the number of employees. Some 950 people are currently working for XL World and the company plans to raise this number to 1,200 employees who will work in the current call centers, for both existing and new projects, according to Montandon.

XL World operates in foreign language contact centers (telemarketing, market research, client services) and Business Process Outsourcing (back office, IT services).

The company has three service centers in the eastern cities of Iasi and Bacau and the western city of Oradea.

Montandon said most of the clients are multinational companies but that local companies are increasingly using their services, especially for customer relations. “This year, we expect some 10-13 percent of our business to be made up by local clients,” he added.

The local call center outsourcing market is estimated at some €100 mln with an average 100 percent annual growth.
