The company acquired over 10 hectares of land and is currently in the process of obtaining the necessary authorizations.
Zwanenberg posted turnover worth some €350 mln last year, and has 1,250 employees in its 13 production units.
The local tinned meat market is dominated by Scandia Romana, a company that posted €50 million turnover last year.
