This year, the company entered the still drinks market, with a new product, Granini-Racoarea Fructelor, URBB and Carlsrom Beverage President, Shachar Shaine, said. Carlsrom Beverage is the bottler of Granini and Orangina soft drinks.
The highest increase in sales was registered by the Tuborg and Holsten beer brands. Granini also registered significant sales. “Romanian’s obviously prefer quality products, both in terms of beer and soft drinks,” Shaine added.
The Romanian beer market exceeded €1 billion last year, according to data published by producers. Main players are the local subsidiaries of multinational brewers Heineken Romania, InBev Romania, URBB, and Ursus Breweries, and local company European Drinks. These companies have a total 92.6 percent market share in terms of value and 90.9 percent share in volume, according to MEMRB market research company.
URBB’s portfolio is made up only of international brands - Tuborg, Tuborg Strong, Tuborg Christmas Brew, Holsten, Carlsberg, Skol, Guinness, Kilkenny, Orangina, and Granini.
