He did not provide, however, financial details of the airline company's business locally.
According to Dobrescu, Air France KLM will use mostly Airbus 320 aircrafts, to increase the number of available seats. Currently, some 81 percent of the seats are booked, he said.
This month, the company signed a code share agreement with Delta Air Lines for the Bucharest-New York course, to provide clients with more commuting alternatives for destinations in Northern America.
Last year, Air France KLM had some 200 passengers, 10 percent higher on 2006. It currently has a 20 percent share on the Romanian market and estimates this level will remain constant this year, according to Dobrescu. The company has three daily flights to Amsterdam and five daily flights to Paris, with departure from Bucharest's international Henri Coanda Airport.
The group's operating profit amounted to €1.14 globally in the fist half of fiscal year 2007, 16.4 percent higher year-on-year.
