Allen & Overy to open office in Romania following partnership with local law firm

The new office will operate as Radu Taracila Padurari Retevoescu SCA associated with Allen & Overy LLP and will be part of Allen & Overy's business in Central and Eastern Europe, coordinated by Jane Townsend, the company's managing partner for Central Europe.

The projects within the office in Bucharest will benefit from Hugh Owen's international expertise, a partner with experience in Romania and other countries from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Marcel Nemeth's expertises, partner in financial transactions in the region.

RTPR was set up in May 2004. The company has five partners (Dragos Radu, Costin Taracila, Victor Padurari, Alexandru Retevoescu and Mihai Ristici) and 33 lawyers.

Allen & Overy is an international judicial consultancy company which counts about 5,500 employees, including 500 lawyers partners working in 29 offices worldwide.
