International factoring operations were subject to the most spectacular increase, of over 200 percent, of which import factoring operations had the largest share.
By the end of H1 2008, BRD supplied factoring services for 544 clients and administered over 83,000 invoices. The bank began offering factoring services in 1993 and is market leader in Romania, according to its own estimates. Its main competitors in this area are ING and Banca Transilvania.
