Bucharest Stock Exchange indexes start week down while European stocks recover from previous losses

Deals in the opening session totaled 8.82 million lei, three time larger against the last trading session, which saw opening deals of 2.91 million lei.

The BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds dipped 1.92 percent and the BET index tracking the market’s ten top performers lost 2.34 percent.

The BET-FI index measuring the five investment funds known as SIFs dropped 2.56 percent. The ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna decreased 2.17 percent.

The shares of banks and SIFs dominated the opening session, with a total trade of 6.62 million lei which stood for three quarters of BSE's liquidity.

The shares of SIF Oltenia fell 2.11 percent, to 4.17 lei per share. SIF Moldova shares saw its shares dipping 2.96 percent, to 3.28 lei per share.

The shares of BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, decreased 1.49 percent, to 26.5 lei. Banca Transilvania saw shares dipping 2.20 percent, to 0.89 lei.
