“At the moment, I have no connection with the Stock Exchange; they invited me to be a member of the Board of Directors. I have accepted this proposal, because, not long ago, the legislation regarding the Stock Exchange was changed, and fixed-income instruments can now be traded, enabling me to make a contribution in this area,” Croitoru told Business Standard.
At the end of this week, BVB shareholders will elect a new member on the Board of Directors, to replace Petru Prunea, former President of Broker Cluj. For this week’s elections, the competition is expected to be fierce, between Croitoru, Octavian Molnar, Deputy General Manager of IFB Finwest, Valerian Ionescu, Head of the Trading Division of Banca Comerciala Romana, and Vergil Popescu, Vice President of the Brokers’ Association.
