CEC to offer real estate financing

“We already have three to four such projects we are financing, and will exceed the €100 million threshold in the first half of the year,” said CEC President Radu Gratian Ghetea.

CEC posted net profit of €26.7 mln in 2007, twice as high year-on-year, and is planning for profit in 2008, despite major costs for rebranding, said Ghetea.

At the end of January 2008, CEC assets exceeded €3 billion, up 37 percent annually. The volume of loans reached €1.453 bln by the end of 2007, 53 percent higher year-on-year, while deposits amounted to €2.37 bln, 37 percent higher than in 2006.
