Cluj-based Calibra Invest travel agency, one of the medium-sized players on the market, posted €2.6 million in turnover in the first quarter of 2008, 11 percent higher year-on-year.
The travel agency’s General Manager, Martin Bikfalvi, said that main factors that contributed to this increase were charters to Egypt and Israel, and destinations such as China, Mexico and Morocco.
Bikfalvi estimates turnover of €10 mln in 2008, due to new destinations launched at the Bucharest tourism fair. Some 70 percent of turnover is represented by offers for Egypt.
