Copos sells football club Rapid for €40 mln to Taher

While Copos and Taher have denied the information, it is certain that this transaction took place these days in the form of a memorandum signed by both parties, as a preliminary step in the sale of the club, the TV station reported. As such, 80 percent of the shares of the Rapid SA commercial company will be taken over by Griro, controlled by the Syrian businessman, for €40 million. Authorized sources in Romanian football say that Taher is even prepared to pay an advance worth €10 mln to Copos.
