Dacia enjoys Europe’s highest growth rate in 2007
The study was conducted in 27 European states, except Romania and Bulgaria.
The number of registered Dacias increased a staggering 96 percent, up to 35,101 units in Western Europe. The company’s market share reached 0.5 percent.

Europe’s best-seller was the Volkswagen, at 1.6 million, followed by Opel/Vauxhall, at 1.32 million, and Ford with 1.28 million cars sold.

The best sold model in 2007 was the Peugeot 207, with 437,505 cars, double year-on-year, followed by Volkswagen Golf, with 435,055 cars.

Renault Clio had the highest sales drop of 11.5 percent. Germany had a 9.2 percent sales drop due to changes in its taxation system.
