The new SUV, to be built in the Brazilian Curitiba factory, follows the trajectory of the first Sandero, a hatchback, which was initially launched in South American before production started in the Dacia factory, becoming available on the Romanian market in June.

Contacted by Business Standard, the Vice President of Automobile Dacia, Constantin Stroe, did not wish to comment on the technical characteristics of the new Dacia Sandero, but indicated that the new model will be launched in Romania at the Bucharest International Car Show (SIAB) in October 2009.

“We have tested the SUV and I can say that we have great hopes about the future of this car. I cannot comment on the similarities with the new model [Ed. n. Stepway], but all cars resemble each other.”
