Romanian specialists who left the country several years ago and have acquired Western-style work experience are ideal candidates for middle and top management positions in the consultancy company’s Romanian branch. In the past few months, several specialists have agreed to return to Romania and work for Deloitte, according to the company’s Human Resource Manager for the Balkan area, Valeria Mihaiescu.
“We have two recent examples: the Marketing and Client Manager comes from Deloitte Canada, and a Risk consultant returned from Britain. We are currently negotiating with a Romanian who has spent five years in Canada,” Mihaiescu told Business Standard. Romanian specialists agree to return to Romania because of opportunities now being offered by the Romanian market, and the chance for rapid career promotion. They are usually hired for positions higher than those they have abroad and at salaries similar to their Western ones.
Since joining Deloitte last year, Valeria Mihaiescu, former Human Resource Manager and Vice President for Vodafone Romania, said she is looking for Romanians working in Deloitte branches abroad.
“I wish the percentage of Romanians working for Deloitte could increase regularly,” she added.
