Enel, E.ON and Termoelectrica could set JV to create power production group in Braila

The three companies will decide on the matter in about two weeks. Termoelectrica postponed for December the decision to resume the selection process for an investor to build a power production group at Braila.

The company needs foreign partners because the necessary investments stand at 2 to 3 billion euros. The foreign investor would contribute with capital while Termoelctrica will bring in its assets. Enel and E.ON voiced interest in participating at the project.

The companies set to establish a joint business with Termoelectrica for revamping the heating plant in Braila would spend around 1 billion euros for the construction of a new power plant, former general manager of Termoelectrica, Viorel Marian said in May.
