Eurostat: Romania had the top annual growth for construction output in the EU in April

Romania continues to lead in terms of construction production for the whole of the European Union, after registering top spot also in March, with a 32.5 percent advance. Bulgaria is fourth, with 21 percent, while the largest drop in construction production was in Spain, at -21.8 percent.

Eurostat estimates go on to show that construction output rose 31.8 percent in the first quarter of this year, compared to Q1 2007. An even greater advance for Q1 2008 was found in Slovenia, of 32.2 percent. (NewsIn)
