The 2009 net profit estimate is €350,000, double the level estimated for 2008. Company officials said that its service activity makes up for some 60 percent of the firm’s revenues.
Luca di Motezemolo, President of Ferrari, said that the company will allocate some 40-50 cars for the Romanian market in the coming 3-4 years, but no more than 15 cars annually. The waiting time for a car is 16-18 months.
The average salary at Forza Rossa amounts to €1,800 in 2008, according to company officials. The firm now has 10 employees, and their number will increase to 14 in 2009.
“The market is already registering a severe drop in sales in the auto sector. Luckily, our product is beginning to be perceived no longer as a luxury automobile, but rather as an investment,” Bazac said.
The company’s main clients are businesspeople aged 28-40, professionals, and persons working in the financial-banking system. The price of a Ferrari car starts at some €110,000 on international markets, and amounts to €1.5 million.
