“The intention is for that hydro-electric power plant to be built based on the model of units 3 and 4 at Cernavoda. Starting now, in about 12-14 months construction work will be initiated, following the recent approval of the memorandum for the investment,” sources said.
Enterprises interested in financing the project are Verbund Austria, MVM Hungary, EDF France, GDF SUEZ France, and international financial institutions, such as the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
