“KSPG has relinquished the investment. We do not know the reasons for this decision. It is their strategy, their decision,” Bichescu added.
The company said in December 2007 that it would invest €80-100 million in four motor block production units in the coming three years. In July 2008, KSPG announced it had signed an agreement with Arc Parc for the 50-year concession of 15 hectares of land, adding that it will begin construction work in 2008, and first parts will be delivered in 2009. The Dej factory was meant to have an initial 100 employees and 700 employees by the end of the investment.
KSPG, which has annual revenues in excess of €2 billion, has production units in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, the U.S., and Brazil.
