Lender VB Leasing Romania sees business up 11% y/y in 2007 to EUR 205.2m

VB Leasing Romania leased goods worth 205.2 million euros last year against 180 million euros in 2006.

Almost two thirds (67.6 percent) of the company's sales came from leasing car acquisitions. The commercial vehicles and truck segment represented 27.8 percent and the equipment segment stood at 4.6 percent of the portfolio.

The company inked 11,831 contracts in 2007, approximately 1,000 contracts more than the year before. For 2008, the company aims to develop the leasing for construction, industrial, agricultural and medical equipments.

The net profit of the VB Leasing group in Romania rose 27 percent in 2007 from the year before when it stood at approximately 4 million euros.

VB Leasing specializes in leasing for cars, commercial vehicles and equipments for different industries. The company addresses mainly to the corporate segment which represents 86.2 percent of the company's portfolio while individuals represent 13.8 percent of the total clients.

VB Leasing will open two more branches in Romania this year. The company is owned by VB Leasing International, member of the Austrian financial group Österrechische Volkbanken AG.
