BVB shareholders recently decided to exempt state bonds from processing and trading admission fees in 2007.

The local capital market is far behind the regional average, as concerns the trading of state bonds. The Warsaw Stock Exchange traded bonds worth €801 million in the first 10 months of 2007, or 0.7 percent of total trading, while in Budapest, bonds worth €39 mln were traded last month alone. This is the first issue of state bonds this year, and is estimated to be worth €457 mln.
