The company’s shareholders announced in July 2008 that they intend to relocate production outside Bucharest and sell the 3.6 hectare land on which the factory is built. At the time, the price of land in the area amounted to some €1,200-1,600/square meter, and the amount that Lujerul shareholders could have obtained was €40-60 mln.
The value of the domestic milling and bakery market is worth some €2 billion, according to players in this industry. The company’s main competitors are Boromir, Titan, Vel Pitar, Dobrogea, and Pambac.
