Minister: Current account deficit to narrow to 13.5 percent

Exports are set to increase by 17-18 percent this year, while the import growth will amount to 12 percent, the minister said, quoting data from the National Prognosis Commission (CNP). 

"This trend will be maintained in 2009, with exports advancing by 5-6 percent faster than imports," Vosganian said. He added current account deficit will narrow below 10 percent of the GDP in 2012, when inflation should be less than 3 percent. (NewsIn)
