“Demands from companies for web content filtering solutions have increased some 20 percent in the past four-five months, which indicates a visible concern of the business environment for raising employee productivity in times of crisis,” said Ovidiu Constantin, General Manager of the RnD Software web security solution provider.
This type of information technology solution permits employees to access only websites which are related to their professional activity. “If the productivity of each employee increases by just one hour a week – although, according to calculations by specialists, this is probably one hour a day – this translates to 52 hours a year, or productivity equivalent to one third of the employee’s monthly salary,” Constantin explained.
The necessary hardware costs some €700, while the software license is an annual investment of approximately €1,500.
