“Companies are looking for experienced sales agents, flexible candidates, who are willing to work more than in previous years, without expecting substantial bonuses,” said Irina Vasile, Managing Director of the Antal International executive search company.
Most enterprises that are presently recruiting are in fields such as the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) segment, the pharmaceutical sector, telecommunication, production, and alternative energy.
“Large salaries dropped by 20-30 percent compared to last year’s autumn and the medium ones are up to one fifth lower while the small salaries remained the same or fell very slightly,” said George Butunoiu, one of the best-known head hunters on the local market.
