“Following the MTZ partnership, tractor production began in the second half of 2007, and in the first half of 2008 we observed differences between the two parties. Rombel Traktor was dissolved at the end of last year’s first half,” MYO-O’s General Manager, Andrei Mihailov, told Busines Standard. However, the company continues to import MTZ tractors, which are selling well.
“We are considering a relocation of production, but given the local context, it is hard to say. We have initiated talks with other foreign producers,” said Mihailov.
MYO-O registered sales worth RON 14 million (€3.8 mln) in 2008, surging 93.01 percent year-on-year. Its main competitors on the market are Ipso and New Holland.
