Romania's Minister of Health, Eugen Nicolaescu, said that the 32 new public hospitals, to cost €3 billion, could bring physicians back to Romania.
Furthermore, Nicolaescu added that he will not accept an increase in drug prices requested by distributors, even if this means he will have to change legislation. Drug distributors posted a significant drop in profit or even losses due to the limit imposed by the ministry regarding prices.
