Nomination of Teodor Melescanu to end the Ministry of Justice crisis

He is presently Minister of Defense and Interim Minister of Justice, the latter position assumed following President Train Basescu’s refusal to appoint Norica Nicolai to the position.

Liberal Radu Stroe has been nominated to replace Melescanu as Minister of Defense.

Melescanu commented that he has “little enthusiasm” about the Justice Ministry appointment, but added that his decision is motivated by the obligation PNL has to resolve the crisis in this respect.
