However, he added that the local market no longer has high growth potential. “It is impossible for the political chaos around us not to impact on business. We expect a modest evolution, maybe around 10-12 percent. We can talk about predictable growth once the political climate stabilizes,” Marin said.
The public sector will also be blocked in 2008, because of local and general elections, preventing market growth. Furthermore, increasingly more Romanian companies will be put up for sale. “If you ask me, the percentage is worrisome,” Marin said.
The company recently opened a logistics center in Switzerland, as a base for Omnilogic’s regional development. It also finalized a data center in the town of Otopeni, north of Bucharest, following a €6 million investment.
