Pioneer to launch ten global mutual funds in Romania

PAML is the fifth foreign asset management company to expand its investment vehicles to Romania, after Societe Generale Asset Management, Raiffeisen Capital Management, Erste Sparinvest, and Eurobank EFG Funds.

“There will probably be ten sub-funds dedicated to investment in various regions of the world. They have not been chosen yet, but four of them will invest in Europe, three in North America, and a further three in Asia, South America and other emerging markets,” the company’s General Manager, Florin Dolea, told Business Standard.

Pioneer Funds had assets worth €64 billion at the half of 2007.

Romanian investors now have access to 67 foreign mutual funds.
