The company’s turnover was €2 mln higher than initially estimated for 2007. According to Valeriu Cobaschi, General Manager of Franke Romania, incorporated home appliances made up 6 percent of the total home appliance market, and is estimated to reach 50 percent in the coming years.
The market’s total value could exceed €50 mln in 2008. Franke officials are targeting a 30 percent market share.
Franke reported over €10 mln in turnover for the first three quarters in 2007, over 20 percent higher year-on-year. The company has posted constant rises in turnover since it came onto the Romanian market in 1998. The products sold by Franke come from Italy, Scotland, Germany and Switzerland.
Main players on the incorporated home appliance market are Ariston, Gorenje, Zanussi and Whirlpool.
